EDUCATION

Anxiety can leave us feeling stuck.

OUR SERVICES

Together, we choose actions that align with your values so you can feel confident to live more intentionally, guided by purpose.

Dr. April Clift’s clinical work is grounded in evidence-based practices, with a particular emphasis on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Exposure and Response Prevention (ExRP). This integrated approach is especially effective for adults experiencing treatment-resistant anxiety or obsessive-compulsive disorder—particularly those who are analytical and outwardly high functioning, but internally feel stuck or overwhelmed.

ACT helps clients recognize how OCD hijacks the brain’s problem-solving mechanisms, convincing them that compulsions or mental rituals are necessary. April works with clients to identify these mental “traps,” and guide them in developing greater psychological flexibility—learning to observe their thoughts, emotions, and physical sensations without becoming entangled in them and choosing actions based on values rather than fear. Over time, clients build the capacity to respond more flexibly to anxiety and uncertainty, leading to a greater sense of fulfillment in the areas of life that matter most.
